An indicator of how much investment has been required for each attendance generated. This is calculated as:

Mean or arithmetic mean
The most commonly used measure of central tendency or average.

A measure of central tendency, or average, that is the value that – literally – sits exactly in the middle of a data set.

Members or membership scheme
An initiative run by an organisation or arts facility with the intention of increasing customer and user loyalty by offering rewards and inducements for loyal behaviour (e.g. frequent attendance, being an advocate for – or supporter of – the organisation).
