Biography: Gerry Wall
Gerry became the Business Manager for Audiences UK in the summer of 2010.
After graduating with a Degree in Music/Performance Arts from Middlesex University in the late 1980's, Gerry started her career at the Royal Opera House running events and raising funds. She moved to London Calling Arts before managing The Artangel Trust, commissioners of contemporary art such as Rachel Whiteread's House in the east end of London. Gerry has worked with some very interesting and exciting artists including William Forsythe, Director of Frankfurt Ballet, Ilya Kabakov, Tatsuo Miyajima, Gabriel Orozco, Douglas Gordon and Brian Eno and Jem Finer.
After a 15 year stint in London Gerry moved back to the shores of Hampshire to (dive, kitesurf and windsurf) gain local government officer experience at Hampshire County Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, Havant Borough Council and Portsmouth City Council. During this time she specialised in Arts Events management and more specifically Public Art development which led to a series of consultancies in this area. Gerry has been an arts consultant for many years specialising in working with Councils, the private sector and the NHS on strategy, policy, commissioning and on project and events management.
Gerry works part time for Audiences UK and is also managing a Cultural Olympiad partnership project across Yorkshire.
